For the past 15+ years Jeremy has been a non-stop touring, recording, and gigging drummer. He moved from California to Seattle in 1996 and quickly became a member of the successful NW metal band, Barbie Car. After 6 years Barbie Car disbanded and Jeremy formed his current band, Only Human. He is known for his high energy, infectious personality and explosive drumming style. He has been teaching at The Seattle Drum School for 3 years and is extremely passionate sharing with his students his unique style and specializes in Double Bass. Jeremy is a respected drummer in the local metal community and was honored by his peers when they named him their "Favorite Metal Drummer of Seattle" in 2001.
Jeremy has studied with such great artists as C.G. Ryche, Jason McGerr of Death Cab for Cutie fame and Steve Smith, owner of The Seattle Drum School. He is proud to always be expanding his knowledge of drumming and encourages all of his students to do the same.
"I believe that knowing how to practice efficiently and become a disciplined player is the key to mastering your instrument. I strive to teach my students how to play with both their mind and body relaxed to achieve the highest level of creativity. An artist is at their highest state of creativity when they are able to tap into the simplicity of their craft. Jeremy teaches students of all ages and skill levels. He has taught a number of educational double-bass clinics and The Seattle Drum School's first ever "Double-Bass Camp" in the summer of 2006. He is looking forward to doing it again in 2007!
