Drummer needed for gig ready band. We do 70's - current music in a wide variety of genres - anything that's danceable pretty much. So we need someone who's not only talented, but we need someone who's experienced, versatile, and can play with a click. We're also looking for someone who can learn the material within a reasonable amount of time, and gig on a regular basis (every weekend, and eventually some weeknights too). What we are NOT looking for is someone who is already in other bands (availability wise, especially when it comes to gigs, has never worked out when someone is playing in other bands), someone who will take forever to learn the material, or someone has too many obligations, and busy lives that keep them too busy to really give this band the type of commitment, and effort that we are hoping for. In other words, we are ESPECIALLY not looking for this all too familiar scenario: someone who comes in for an audition, and acts all excited about the project, only to take a month or two to learn the songs, then have scheduling problems the next two or three weeks, having to postpone over, and over, then when we finally DO get to practice, he sounds like he didn't even work very hard on the songs, and he plays like crap. Then if we don't fire him, he quits because the job was harder than he thought, or he "can't commit'". Please, please PLEASE don't waste our time, like so many others have!
We have all our other members, who know all the material, our backing tracks are all ready to go, we have a PA, trailer, agent.... everything but a drummer!
You can check out our singer at www.myspace.com/danielleduboismusic

DRUM LINE WANTED. My dad was in drum chore when he was teen. Drumming and drum chore has always been a passion of his. It is my parents 25th anniversary in August and I'm throwing a large party where I would love to have a drum line preform. I'm thinking at least 4 snares and maybe a quad. I don't have much money but you would be compensated, haven't figured out the budget yet. If anyone is interested please shot me an e-mail! Even if your just one drummer maybe I can hook everyone up. Thanks!

Do you remember and like Grand Funk Railroad's Red Album? If so, we are a guitarist and bassist (middle-aged) looking for an accomplished drummer to play in a power trio. We're doing faithful covers of the heavy riff-rock of the late 1960s and early '70s, the stuff we grew up listening to: Cream, Hendrix, Led Zep, James Gang, Mountain, Grand Funk, Jethro Tull, some Stones and Beatles, and a few others. We'd like to rehearse once a week and gig once or twice a month. We've got a nice rehearsal space (with drums) and both live in north Seattle. If you love this heavy old rock and think it would be fun to play it, please send me a note and we'll set up a session.

Opening for a talented drummer to join one of Seattle’s hottest new bands - already playing to large crowds at Neumos, Crocodile and Chop Suey in its first year on the scene! Be a part of the breakout CD, sure to spawn radio play in many markets.
Afraid Of Figs is a fun/talented indie-pop/rock band seeking a drummer with swing and funk chops, open availability (to rehearse 2x a week and play out 2x a month). It helps if you’re local (we’re in the Greenwood area of Seattle), if you have a good sense of humor (we’re known for ours, onstage and off), and can bring your share of people to the shows, as well as help market/promote the band.
We’re currently scheduling try-outs (no need to bring your kit – we have one in our personal rehearsal space).
Sex & race are unimportant to us. Hurry! This is one hell of an opportunity for the right drummer.
Serious Inquires check out www.afraidoffigs.com and contact with your comments on our music and let us know how you’d compliment what we’re up to:
