\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAt Seattle Drum School of Music, we\u2019ve always believed that high-quality music education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. \n


To help make that belief a reality, Steve and Kristy founded Means for Dreams Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing tuition assistance and scholarships for students who might not otherwise be able to afford lessons.\n

\nThis creates a way for the community to contribute tax-deductible donations to support students who require financial aid, ensuring that economic barriers do not hinder musical aspirations.\n\nSupport through grants and donations is crucial for sustaining and expanding these programs.   • Since 2021, Means for Dreams Foundation has provided over 20 students each year with tuition assistance.

  • As of the close of 2024, the foundation has raised and donated $30,000 and donated to fund music education.

  • In 2025, the goal is to continue expanding this vital program to include even more students.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    \n\t\n\t\t\t\tWhy This Matters\t<\/span>\n\t<\/h3>\n

    \n\t\tFor many students, music lessons are about far more than just learning an instrument.


    As one scholarship recipient put it:

    \n\u201cTaking music lessons genuinely improves my life in a way that nothing else can. Music gives me time each week to decompress, focus, and express feelings that words can\u2019t capture. It sparks my curiosity and creativity.\u201d<\/i>

    \nFor families like Zoe\u2019s, music lessons were even more:

    \n\u201cRaising a blind, autistic daughter with complex medical needs meant that many programs simply couldn\u2019t accommodate her. But music education became her lifeline\u2014offering not only creative expression but also a sense of connection and leadership as her skills grew. Means for Dreams, in partnership with Seattle Drum School, made this possible, even during times of financial hardship.\u201d<\/i>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
