Our ensemble programs put the student into the driver’s seat and allow them to express themselves with a full band under the tutelage of an instructor. It’s a fun way to “grow musical legs” and helps develop confidence. Did we mention it’s a lot of fun too?

Students learn how to play Cassic Jazz, Swing, and Blues standards, apply improvisation techniques, and identify the foundations of jazz music and what makes it unique.
Jazz Combos meet once a week for an hour and a half and are guaranteed performance spots in our Student Recitals, which take place every other month during the school year. Instruments available are: drums, guitar, bass, piano, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, saxophone, and more. Previous experience required. Jazz Combo students are enrolled on a waitlist basis.
