Seattle Drum School of Music Band Camps are an amazing experience for young musicians!

It’s their chance to unlock their creative potential, acquire rehearsal skills, and learn cooperation and teamwork. The band members will work with a professional musician coach who will lead them through learning to play a set of music together, and even compose their own songs if they’re interested!

The final performance (Friday of camp week at 1pm) is not to be missed by family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who loves to see the unbelievable results of five days of collaboration and magic. We will also livestream on our YouTube for those who cannot attend performances in-person.

Band Camps are one-week programs during the summer, 9am to 2pm Monday through Friday, for ages 8-13 (Beginner) and 10-17.

Camps are offered at both our Lake City (N Seattle) and Georgetown (S Seattle) schools.

CAMP FAQS

To Know

  • Week-long camps are held from the end of June through August.

  • 9am–2pm, Monday-Friday (campers bring lunch/snacks).
  • TUITION: $550/week for non-enrolled students. $475/week for currently enrolled students.
  • Open to ages 8-12 (Beginning Rock Band), and ages 12-17 (Advanced Camps require 2+ years of experience on instrument & the ability to independently learn songs so that camp is spent learning to play together rather than mastery of the instrument). If the student’s skill level is in question, we will coordinate a pre-assessment by the camp instructor.
  • Backline is provided (drums, piano, amps). Campers are expected to bring their own sticks, guitar/bass/cords, ear protection.
  • A camp is usually 3-6 students per band. An example of this might look like: a vocalist, keyboard player, guitar player, 2 drummers.
  • We will request two form signatures:
    1. Parent/guardian signatures on the first day of camp for a photo/video release (so we can livestream their Friday concert).
    2. Student + parent/guardian signatures for a Band Agreement stating that the student understands the expectations of: BE SAFE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE COMMITTED & HAVE FUN.
  • Camp Tuition

Existing Students (currently enrolled in weekly lessons or classes) = $495/camp week.

Non-Seattle Drum School Students (not currently enrolled in weekly lessons or classes) = $570/camp week

    Registration

  • Transfer & Cancellation Policy
