Work with us
Seattle Drum School of Music (SDSM) is always looking for passionate, creative, and organized people to join our community-centered team. With two vibrant locations — Lake City (North Seattle) and Georgetown (South Seattle) — we provide lessons, workshops, all-ages events, and collaborative community programming, all made possible by our incredible team of instructors, administrators, and production pros. Whether you’re a music educator, audio engineer, content creator, or a high school senior looking to complete service hours, there’s a place for you to contribute, learn, and grow at SDSM.
Music Instructors
Whether you specialize in private lessons, band coaching, workshops, or camps, there are many ways to share your expertise and inspire students at SDSM.
We hold our instructors to a high standard of excellence: seeking experienced musicians with strong teaching skills, a deep understanding of their instrument(s), and professional performance or recording backgrounds. Versatility is a plus — we especially appreciate educators who can teach multiple instruments, songwriting, music production, or genre-specific techniques (from jazz improvisation to metal double-kick mastery).
At SDSM, teaching is about more than just lessons — it’s about fostering creativity, building confidence, and helping each student find their unique musical voice.
