Join acclaimed musician Tendai Baba Maraire for an energetic and immersive African Drum & Percussion class that journeys through the rich rhythmic landscapes of Zimbabwe, Southern Africa, and West Africa, including traditions from Senegal to Nigeria.

In this hands-on course, you’ll learn to play traditional rhythms—such as Shona drumming patterns—while exploring their cultural roots and significance. Discover the stories behind the beats, the communal spirit of the music, and the vital role percussion plays in African societies.

Whether you’re new to drumming or an experienced percussionist, this class offers powerful tools to deepen your skills and broaden your musical horizons. Tendai’s unique blend of traditional knowledge and contemporary insight ensures a welcoming and inspiring experience for all.
