Q: How has a student inspired you?
A: “I feel inspired by all my students, in how they approach challenges. It’s always a thrill to see them work on and achieve something new right in front of me!
I am inspired to keep working on my own goals more intensely after my time with each person.”
Q: My essential tools for teaching music are:
A: “Patience, empathy, & a passion for music combined with considerable experience. I put the students’ feelings and needs first. I encourage them to have patience with themselves because learning is a process. If we can accept our mistakes as a requirement for growth, the process becomes much more fulfilling.”
