Q: How has a student inspired you?
A: “A past student developed aspirations to get their music performed by an orchestra someday. They have personally performed many of their own original works for drum set and piano, and continue to compose. Other students have become professional drummers, bandleaders, arrangers, and working musicians around Bloomington IN and Chicago.”

Q: My essential tools for teaching music are:
A: “The preferred learning styles of each individual student. I make sure my students get to learn their personal favorite music and provide them with a well rounded skill set of proper technique, timekeeping, sight-reading, ear training, transcribing and improvising, while keeping the body relaxed and having fun.”
