Kristy Smith joined Seattle Drum School in 1993 as a singing and guitar instructor; and as a co-owner when she and Founder Steve Smith were married. Together, they followed their vision of providing music education to all, and grew into Seattle Drum School of Music. It is now an institution with two locations and 30+ instructors teaching almost all instrument to students of all ages.

Kristy also envisioned and led the founding of non-profit MeansforDreamsFoundation.org to provide music lesson tuition assistance support.
